Buildings Foreign No 63, Madagascar

From the Buildings Foreign II collection

(Intro from Buildings Foreign I)

Though people are my paramount interest, buildings, I must admit, continually fascinate me.

The attraction is in no way limited to magnificent skyscrapers or giant museums, nor to exclude feats of great engineering or brilliant architecture or religious shrines or government buildings. Rather, the monumental is just part of the picture.

I am fascinated by the humblest of huts, or shantytowns, by utilitarian simple structures, by buildings with little pedigree but simple charm.
