I hate cancer, so I love any chance I get to take advantage of it.
Less than four years ago I began working for Jay Maisel: First as a part time assistant, eventually full time Studio Manager, and currently as producer of his photography workshops in New York City.
While running the studio on a daily basis (for roughly two years) there was always a revolving door of visitors who made up an interesting cast characters – including former employees who would ring the front bell and the introduction would be something like this: “Hi, I worked for Jay back in 1980 some-place, etc, etc…”

I’m pleased to announce that Jay’s print portfolio has been completely updated, and is now chock-full of the classic, iconic Jay Maisel images many of us have come to know and love over the years. The collection is a mix of images that have been on display here in the studio for years, images that have been requested by some of you, and even a few pieces you may have never seen before. Many of them are still there from the previous portfolio.
All of the images presented are available for purchase as limited edition pigment prints, signed and numbered en recto. If you have any other questions, as always, feel free to email me (John). Until then, enjoy!
