From the NY Things I collection

When I go out shooting in NYC I am no longer facing the exotica of foreign countries. I am quite familiar with New York. My meanderings were mostly in Manhattan where I lived for about 60 years.

Still, I try not to plan anything, but rather be open to whatever comes my way. I find the results fall into mostly people, but also the “things" in NY, the calligraphy, the gesture, the eccentricity, and often the magnificence of those things, call out to me.

P.S. These images are all from 2010-2012.
