Man Reading Note, San Cristobal Man Reading Note, San Cristobal

From the San Cristobal collection

There is a great similarity between Oaxaca and San Cristobal. When I went to Oaxaca I was so impressed with the walls I wanted to do a thing called Walls of Oaxaca.

When I got to San Cristobal, I found more walls there that fascinated me. But in both cases, as usual, it was the people that demanded photographing.

As Ernst Haas once said, “We don’t take pictures, we are taken by them.”

It makes it impossible not to photograph these people and walls.
