Years ago, in the 1980s, I found this abandoned pier in Downtown NY on the Hudson River.
If you were a little acrobatic you could get in through a window. I went there a number of times, alone and with my wife, L.A.
Artists had done amazing things, both on the exterior and interior. I have a thing about not photographing other people’s artwork, but I knew that this was going to be torn down sooner or later so I wanted to make an in situ record of it for history.
It’s gone now and I’ve never seen any mention of it.
Here’s mine. We called it the Art Dock.
