This collection of photos was done as part of a “Day in the Life of Hawaii” (photo book) shoot. The series involved getting a bunch of photographers together in a specific place and giving each a particular assignment to cover during a single 24-hour period.

My assignment was a young Hawaiian man, named Angel. The first group of photos are of him, his friends, his mother. The photos after that are of other people I photographed while there.
