I taught at the workshop in Jackson Hole, Wyoming for a number of years. I didn’t fit in there any more that I did at Photoshop World. Most were nature photographers or animal photographers.

It was years later, when I stopped shooting and started going through all my work and making all these collections, that I discovered I had photographed a great deal of Animals (collection #128).

I never did get much on wild animals while in Jackson, but the landscape, the trees, the skies, were fun to work with. Moose on the grass from overhead was a gas.

As always, people were great. Rich Clarkson, who started and ran the workshop, always had a bunch of good people teaching. Tom Mangelsen actually lived inside a postcard-perfect location in the valley. Dave Black, Bill Allard, Jodi Cobb, and many more of my heroes were also instructors there.

Different from most workshops with courses scheduled over months, this one is all in one week, so I got to schmooze with a lot of friends.
