There’s a kinship that I’ve always felt for and with Australians. It’s kind of vague and hard to define, I feel an affection for them as individuals as well as a nation.
As far as individual Australians go, it seems to me that all Australians in New York somehow end up in my house. I’ve loved each and every one of them.
There’s an eccentricity that to some extent mirrors things I’ve grown to love in the USA. There’s a feeling of goodwill that you may find worldwide if you’ve got a mindset to do so, but Australians are aggressively good about having a good time.
I love that. I also loved the instant hospitality I found everywhere I went.
Well there’s a vague introduction if I’ve ever seen one.
