Santa Fe No 51

From the Santa Fe II collection

(This Intro is from Santa Fe I )

I taught at the Santa Fe Photographic Workshops for years. I love the place for its adobe houses, the desert landscapes, the cultural life, and the people.

It has snow in the summer—which is a photographer’s wet dream—amazing hard light, dramatic skies, and diversity of people.

Gun to the head, if I had to leave New York, Santa Fe would probably be the place I’d go.

It also had George Ancona, my oldest friend since the age of thirteen. There will be a collection on him in the future.

I haven’t been to Santa Fe for a number of years now.

I miss it.
